Today, schools are viewed as complex organizations to lead and manage. The school principal is seen as a leader and manager with multi-faceted roles and functions requiring a wide range of skills. It is widely agreed that a Key Factor affecting schools Efficiency and Effectiveness is the quality of the leadership provided by our school leaders. This course will focus on selected aspects of organizational and collaborative leadership with specific reference to the Quality Child-Friendly Schools Framework. The application of QCFS principles on school management, leadership for staff development, leadership for teacher supervision, and leadership and the law. All approaches for the inclusion of all stakeholders in the transformation of our schools into Quality, Child-friendly Schools.


Study Skills aims to help students identify and use effective learning strategies through the application of practical skills to become effective learners. The course shows students how to create and use study systems, think critically, become active readers/listeners, and use effective techniques to manage time and organize information for understanding and efficient retrieval. In this course, students will learn how to identify and use their learning styles to achieve expertise in their content area and to apply these skills to their current and future education and career pursuits.


College Mathematics for Primary Teachers II is a Math content course designed to promote a thorough understanding of the mathematics that teachers should know in order to be qualified to teach at the primary school level.  This course builds on what was covered in College Mathematics for Elementary Teachers I. The course will ensure that all student teachers acquire sufficient knowledge and competence to prepare them to teach mathematics effectively in the Belizean Primary School system.  This math course surveys many relevant topics including algebra, statistics, probability, consumer arithmetic, and transformation geometry.


College Mathematics for Primary Teachers I is a Math content course designed to promote a thorough understanding of the mathematics that teachers should know in order to be qualified to teach at the primary school level. The course will ensure that all student teachers acquire sufficient knowledge and competence to prepare them to teach mathematics effectively in the Belizean Primary School system.  This math course surveys many relevant topics including types of numbers, fractions, decimals, percent, sets, area, perimeter and the Cartesian plane.


College Mathematics for Primary Teachers II is a Math content course designed to promote a thorough understanding of the mathematics that teachers should know in order to be qualified to teach at the primary school level.  This course builds on what was covered in College Mathematics for Elementary Teachers I.
